OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Winemaker (and/or Lead Cellar Master in winemaker’s absence) this position will complete detailed work orders distributed by the Lead Cellar Master. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the winemaking team and fully immerse themselves in the unique history and terroir of Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery. This position will have the opportunity to learn under an award winning winemaker, committed to using organically grown ingredients in our wines.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initiates and executes daily work orders with specs detailed by winemaker (wine movements, cellar cleaning, equipment sterilization, sampling, bottling, filtration). These cellar activities are to be completed with the highest of standards and standard operating procedures as defined by the winemaker.
- Is able to independently operate and trouble shoot cellar equipment; such as pumps, presses, crusher/destemmer, plate and frame filters, and/or cross-flow filtration.
- Has the experience to drive a forklift on the crush pad and in the barrel room.
- Will work with barrels ( stacking, washing, organizing, cleaning)
- Has the ability to collect and prepare laboratory samples as requested by winemaker.
- Will assist with vineyard work when needed (sampling, flagging, weeding).
- Carry out all duties according to health and safety regulations with Lead Cellar Master while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Use MS Office Suite.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years experience with wine processing.
- Formal wine processing training
- Loves wine.
- Proven ability to use all types of winemaking equipment.
- Forklift Operator Certificate.

• Attention to Detail: Achieve consistent and accurate results when completing tasks.
• Adaptability: Able to accept changing conditions and new information in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical: Operate winemaking equipment, work outdoors and indoors in hot and cold climates, occasionally lift or move objects over 55LBS.
SCHEDULE
• Available to work daytime, evening, weekends, weekdays and holidays as required.
• Overtime as required.

Hourly Rate: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
