Banquet Server – Seasonal Position

Start Date: ASAP   End Date: January 8, 2011 (possibility of extension)

Accountable to the Manager, Banquets, the Banquet Server is primarily responsible for the successful delivery of food & beverage to guests within a full service catering department.  The position is also responsible for the set up and teardown of a variety of catered events. 

Responsibilities
• Set up, delivery and tear down of all catered events/functions.
• Deliver food and beverage according to the standards and policies outlined within the organization.
• Set up furniture, equipment and décor for catered functions as directed by the Banquet Captain
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests
• Follows all Zoo policies and procedures
• Follow health & safety guidelines including safe food handling procedures

Qualifications
• ProServe Liquor License
• Some food and beverage experience, but not required
• Friendly, outgoing personality
• Independent worker

Physical Demands
• Required to work both indoors and outdoors
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
• Labour intensive
• Heavy lifting, walking and standing for long periods of time required
• Shift work required
• Late evenings, weekends, holidays

Compensation: • $11/hour plus gratuities • FREE Zoo pass • 25% Discount on Food & Merchandise
