About Blue Grouse: Blue Grouse Estate Winery is a renowned winery in the heart of the Cowichan Valley, known for our exceptional wines and commitment to sustainability. We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Coordinator to join our team and drive our brand's growth and visibility.
Position Overview: The Marketing Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing and executing all aspects of marketing and brand management for Blue Grouse, in collaboration with the Jackson Family Wine VP Marketing. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution to elevate our brand presence, manage campaigns, coordinate events, and enhance customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Management & Marketing:
- Manage and update the Blue Grouse website.
- Develop, manage, and track the marketing plan, including budget oversight.
- Conduct monthly reviews of social media and marketing campaigns.
- Oversee ad placement, approve ad designs, and manage event signage.
- Schedule and coordinate photo/video shoots.
- Proof and approve digital and print designs.
- Lead campaign management efforts (e.g., Nourish) and collaborate on swag design with Tasting Room staff.
- Partner with the Wine Club to develop and manage the customer engagement, growth and awards program.
- Work with the BG General Manager, Production, and Jackson Family Wine VP Marketing on brand architecture and packaging upgrades.
- Create social media content, monitor platforms, and engage with the audience.
Tourism & Community Engagement:
- Represent Blue Grouse at meetings and AGMs as needed.
- Coordinate and align Blue Grouse activities with local tourism events.
- Schedule Media FAM tours with tourism agencies and associations.
Awards & Accolades:
- Organize wine sample requests for media and competitions.
- Submit entries for wine awards and strategically utilize accolades in marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with the JFW PR Director on sharing accolades and recommending PR/media activities.
Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Centers:
- Act as the liaison for events and media with the Duncan and Victoria Chambers of Commerce.
- Communicate Blue Grouse events, hours, and Grouse House availability.
Event Coordination:
- Oversee marketing for larger events (e.g., Wine Run, Vintage Market) and ensure coordination across platforms.
- Manage marketing materials for Tasting Room (TR) and Wine Club (FC) events.
- Coordinate participation in winery road shows in the Lower Mainland, Victoria, and Nanaimo.
Accommodation Hospitality Management:
- Handle bookings, donations, and cleaning schedules for Grouse House.
Workplace Culture:
- Organize staff events, birthday celebrations, and team-building activities.
Email Marketing:
- Develop and execute monthly or bi-monthly email campaigns via Mailchimp.
- Report campaign results to the GM and JFW VP Marketing.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in marketing, preferably in the wine, hospitality, or tourism industry.
- Strong understanding of social media management, digital marketing, and content creation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with a passion for brand storytelling and customer engagement.
