About the Team
Retail Operations, encompassing the three retail business units of Merchandising, Marketing and Store Operations, is responsible for the daily operations of the 198 BCLIQUOR Stores. The Retail division develops and executes key strategies to drive business, creates systems and processes, and establishes daily retail procedures to maximize operational excellence, while upholding BCLDB’s core values of service, relationships and results. About the Role:
As the Product Presentation Manager, you'll report to the Senior Manager of Merchandise Programs & Space Planning and play a key role in bringing our in-store displays to life! You'll make sure product displays follow best practices, meet store standards, and engage teams on display techniques and fixtures. Your decisions will directly impact how products are presented in stores, linking the display choices to profitability, and ensuring fixtures meet all necessary requirements
You'll also spend time in stores, working closely with the marketing, store operations, and merchandising teams to ensure everything is aligned. The role is responsible for managing the day to day activities and schedules of the in-store execution team, and acts as a link between merchandising programs and category management areas by cohesively delivering strategies for in-store execution.
As the Product Presentation Manager, you will:
· Develop and implement visual presentation strategies and directives for all BCLIQUOR stores. Manages several concurrent, medium-scale merchandise programs to facilitate execution of in-store strategies.
· Establish new merchandising display standards, recommends strategies for monthly image execution and promotions to boost product sales while maintaining brand standards. Increases salability for monthly displays through product visibility and presentation standards.
· Direct visual merchandising team for monthly in-store display programs (ISM), special releases, and seasonal period (e.g., holidays) priorities.
· Plan the visual set up of new store openings and re-openings to ensure timely and efficient completion. Provides direction, prepares schedules, takes decisions and approves visual solutions including unique or challenging spaces (i.e., loadbearing pillars).
· Analyze the effectiveness of past directives, initiatives, and visual presentation procedures for in store execution and proposes solutions to overcome challenges. Identifies risks, prepares reports and makes recommendations to mitigate risks and continuously improve the execution strategy.
· Lead presentations and training for stores; represents the LDB at meetings, conferences, etc. Travels on behalf of LDB domestically to participate in conferences, vendor meetings and retail store visits.
· Collaborate with critical stakeholders such as store operations, category and merchandise programs teams, marketing and store teams. Fosters positive relationships with wide variety of internal/external stakeholders to ensure execution program success.
· Provide expert advice, including recommendations to senior management, based on findings related to execution programs, to influence strategic and operational decisions.
· Research, explore, and launch new execution techniques to stay current with industry standards and best practices.
· Provide leadership, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Degree or diploma in business administration, merchandising, marketing, management or a related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of recent, related experience*.
OR
Secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent certificate with 4 years of recent, related experience*.
*Recent, related experience must have occurred in the last 6 years and must include the following:
· Experience managing and developing merchandising or trade marketing programs or initiatives.
· Experience overseeing the creation and implementation of visual merchandising concepts for multiple retail locations.
· Experience managing and supervising a diverse workgroup of employees.
Preference may be given to candidates with any of the following experience:
· Experience in the beverage alcohol industry.
Experience driving sales through effective product placement and promotional strategies across multiple retail locations.
Compensation and Benefits Package:
The salary range for this role is $76,071.18 - $86,658.48 per annum.
