Job Summary
We are seeking a self sufficient, goal oriented, well connected individual who is passionate about wine and enjoys working with people. You will be representing the Boires Canada wine agency in the first phase of expansion into the BC market. Your goal will be to create long lasting relationships with the BCLDB, sommeliers, and licensee managers in the greater Vancouver area.
You will manage your own schedule and most days will be spent on the road going to meetings where you will be promoting the wines of our producers and conducting wine tastings.
You will be reporting to the Boires management team that is based in Montreal, Quebec.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets.
- Create new accounts and manage existing ones.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Become an expert in the agency’s wine and spirit portfolio.
- Track personal sales figures.
- Promote the agency’s wines through private meetings and wine shows.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Well organized and able to take initiative. The position requires a lot of autonomous work; therefore the applicant needs to be able to manage their accounts and make certain decisions independently.
- Passionate about wine.
- Available to work flexible hours.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a car.
- Experienced in working with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Familiar with the BCLDB processes and systems.
Experience
- 2 years in sales or similar field.
- WSET and/or sommelier certification is an asset.
