Little Engine Wines is seeking hospitality and retail representation for the following territory; Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley, Whistler, and Vancouver Island. We are accepting applications from independent contractors, agents or agencies for this commission-based position. These are developed territories and come with current listings and brand equity.
What does the right candidate look like?
Our representative is passionate, self-motivated and understands the ultra-premium wine market. They have established contacts in fine dining, boutique retail and be committed to the premiumization of BC wines. They will build and foster strong client relationships, immerse themselves in our story and convey our message through our exceptional product line. We like out-of-the-box thinkers, imaginative creators and those who are excited to redefine traditional sales tactics.
What are the requirements for this position?
- A passion for wine, has completed a minimum of WSET level 2 and has worked in either the restaurant or agency industry.
- Knowledge in the liquor sales industry preferred as well as minimum 3 years of outside sales experience.
- Strength in sales with excellent written and verbal communication. Skilled presenter with ability to adapt to audiences.
- Tech-savy and comfortable with all basic computer skills
- College or university degree in business/tourism/marketing an asset.
- Ability to effectively communicate to Wine Experts/Sommeliers during presentations/events.
- Ability to offer unique marketing strategies to promote winery through events and trade shows.
This position is 100% commission based sales.
