Community Partnership & Event Specialist (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

The Okanagan Wine Festival Society is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Community Partnership & Event Specialist. Responsibilities include:

·       Building and maintaining relationships with winery and tourism partners

·       Building and maintaining email database of event attendees

·       Liaison with events coordinator for seasonal festival events

·       Create marketing assets for events, and social media

·       Maintain relationships with industry and sponsorship partners

·       Manage social media channels, Facebook and Instagram

·       Work with Controller to ensure sound financial decisions are made, and maintain yearly budget

·       Prepare reports for board of director meetings, and AGM

·       Other duties as required

 

Reporting to the Board of Directors, this is a part-time position (approx. 25 hours), with flexibility to work additional hours as needed. The successful candidate will work from home, with the ability to travel within the Okanagan for meetings and events.

 

Qualifications for the successful candidate include:

·       Knowledge of the Okanagan wine industry, or previous experience working within

·       Proven track record of building working relationships within different sectors

·       Experience utilizing design programs such as Canva

·       Experience with social media management

·       Event execution experience will be an asset

·       Valid BC driver’s license, and access to vehicle
