Recognized as a leader in the cider industry in Quebec, Vergers Petit et Fils is a family-run business known for its expertise and innovation. In addition to our orchards, we own a 7-hectare vineyard adjacent to our cidery. We are currently seeking a Production Manager to oversee and manage all operations related to the production of our ciders and wines.
Job Description
As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all stages of production, from apple and grape pressing to bottling our ciders and wines. You will play a key role in maintaining the quality of our products while leading our production team of between 2 and 6 employees.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management:
- Plan, organize, and oversee all production stages: pressing, filtration, fermentation, aging, and bottling.
- Supervise the work of the production team in the cidery and the cellar.
- Ensure the availability of supplies and raw materials needed for smooth operations.
- Monitor hygiene, safety, and compliance with sanitary standards in the workspace.
- Maintain and improve product quality by applying best production practices.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Manual skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical condition.
- Ability to operate a forklift (training available).
Assets:
- Previous experience in a food production environment.
- Knowledge of winemaking and cidermaking.
- Basic knowledge of Spanish (an advantage for collaborating with international partners).
