About the Role
As a Wine Educator at Red Rooster Winery, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding guest experiences, sharing your wine knowledge in a fun and engaging way, and driving sales through exceptional customer service and communication. You'll act as a brand ambassador, ensuring that every guest feels welcome, informed, and excited about their visit.
This is a seasonal position, running from mid-April/May to mid-October 2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement & Service Excellence:

- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and build genuine connections.
- Lead engaging wine tastings with clear, informative communication.
- Listen attentively to guests’ preferences and provide personalized wine recommendations.
- Offer exceptional service, anticipating guest needs and addressing requests promptly.
- Drive sales by promoting Wine Club memberships, exclusive events, and special experiences.
- Meet and exceed individual and team sales goals by focusing on guest satisfaction.
- Brand Representation & Sales:

- Represent Red Rooster with enthusiasm, professionalism, and passion for wine.
- Enhance guests' experiences by recommending wines, gifts, and accessories.
- Assist with packaging, shipping, and organizing wine purchases to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Engage with guests and encourage referrals through excellent service.
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for customer service, with a focus on building lasting relationships.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to make wine education accessible and enjoyable.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
- A positive, “Can Do” attitude, especially under pressure.
- Experience in customer service, sales, or hospitality is preferred.
- Wine knowledge or certifications (e.g., WSET 2/3, ISG/CAPS, CMS) is a plus, but a willingness to learn is essential!
Work Environment & Expectations
- Work in a dynamic, active indoor setting including tasting bars, retail spaces, and event venues.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (cases of wine) and move between different areas of the property.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

- Competitive hourly rate ($20.00 - $23.50 per hour) plus gratuities
- $30 per successful Wine Club signup, and 5% commission on all bottles of wine sold!
