Newark Bottling Inc. is immediately seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Bottler to join our team. This is a key role responsible for the efficient and safe operation of our mobile bottling line, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

About the Role:
As the Lead Bottler, you will be the primary operator of our mobile bottling equipment, traveling to various locations around Ontario. You will be responsible for all aspects of the bottling process, from setup and operation to sanitation and maintenance. This role requires a strong understanding of bottling procedures, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality control.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain mobile bottling equipment, including fillers, cappers, labelers, and other associated machinery.
  • Set up and tear down bottling lines, ensuring efficient workflow and minimal downtime.
  • Perform pre-bottling checks/quality control measures to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Monitor the process, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records - including quantities, wine types, and any issues encountered.
  • Sanitize and clean bottling equipment according to established procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth bottling operations.
  • Travel to different winery locations as required.
  • Manage and train assistant bottlers (if applicable).

Qualifications:

  • Experience in bottling with a proven track record of operating mobile bottling equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Thorough understanding of bottling procedures and quality control practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • General knowledge of the wine industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Flexibility to travel to different winery locations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience with mobile bottling is a plus.
