Our client, Artus Bottling Ltd., located in Penticton, B.C., is a leading contract packager and mobile wine industry service provider. Since their inception in 2005 with a single trailer, they were the first independent mobile bottler in Canada that wasn’t tied to a winery. Now offering many services including mobile, co-packaging, sparkling wine and kegging services, they have emerged as a leader in the province’s bottling services.
They are currently seeking an Operations Manager to working closely with the General Manager and CEO to oversee all operations including 4 mobile bottling trucks. contract packaging and sparkling wine production. Responsibilities include planning and organizing of production schedules, overseeing budgets, business planning and forecasting, developing strategies, development and implementation of KPI’s, health & safety, employee development, client relationships, and organizational culture.

The successful candidate is a motivated leader who is innovative in their approach and proactive in streamlining day to day operations in order to deliver exceptional results while maintaining the highest standard of ethics. The Operations Manager is also responsible for management of human resources including promoting and fostering teamwork, employee development through active feedback and coaching, recruitment and retention and other aspects of people management.
Education, Qualification, and Skills required:
- Related post-secondary education and/or recent related experience;
- Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style;
- Strong background and work experience in people management;
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and adjust to changing timelines;
- Experience managing budgets and business planning;
- Strong background and work experience in production environment;
- Excellent people manager, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done;
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills;
- Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations, HACCP;
- Customer and solutions focused;
- Valid driver’s license.
