Senior Trusted Expert

This position reports to the Store Manager for the successful delivery of the role.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Trusted Expert will be in an essential position in teaching and engaging customers with their passion and expertise of wine, beer and liquor to maximize sales, customer experience and establish strong customer relations. This position will assist management with the development and mentoring of junior staff with product knowledge and customer engagement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Customer service and product sales during peak sales hours.
• Curating a customer following and updating them on exciting new products.
• Consulting in recruiting and retaining of Trusted Experts.
• Training & mentoring junior staff on product knowledge including staff outside of Saskatoon on a quarterly basis.
• Assisting in engaging and bringing on new clients for our Bordeaux Futures Program.
• Liaison with the SK Store Managers and Head Office on Promotion & Customer Experience product requirements.
• Consulting with B2B customers on wine lists and events.
• Assist Store Management team with overseeing the setup and execution of events.
• Able to speak, teach and engage a group up to 120 participants in events and classes on and offsite.

• Working knowledge and understanding of ERP.
• WSET Credentials or willingness to partake and obtain WSET credentials.
• Public speaking skills.

• Microsoft Office experience.

• Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
• Must have the ability to work independently and as a team.
