Position Summary
Henry of Pelham is a family estate winery in Ontario’s Niagara Peninsula that hand-crafts premium VQA wines under the Henry of Pelham and Speck Bros. brands. Family Wine Merchants (FWM) represents independent producers of fine wine, beer, and spirits from around the world.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the marketing of all products, services, and brands for both organizations. This individual will lead our marketing campaigns, evaluate our marketing performance metrics, and collaborate with internal teams with the goal of meeting sales objectives through strategic marketing programs.
Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and implement marketing programs on-time and on-budget with the support of the marketing team
- Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing programs to guide current and future strategies
- Ensure all products and services conform to brand identity through ongoing brand management
- Manage designers for packaging updates and drive workflow
- Oversee creation of marketing collateral in accordance with brand messages
- Maintain awareness of industry events and evaluate participation
- Oversee company websites and social networks including content calendars, community management, ads, and reporting.
- Manage digital agency relationship, service, and goals
- Establish and maintain relationships with key media members to develop PR opportunities
- Oversee retail operations including creation of on-site winery events
- Manage Marketing Coordinators and Retail Managers
Qualifications
- University degree required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a marketing capacity, with management experience preferred
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of brand building and brand management
- Experience with both B2B and B2C marketing concepts preferred
- Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented
- Proven team player who is both flexible and adaptable
- Computer literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Wordpress, Shopify, Constant Contact, Social Media for business
- Superb writing, content development, and editing skills
Requirements
- Working out of the office in St. Catharines 5 days a week
- Travel and overtime as required
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations
