Henry of Pelham Family Estate Winery was established with our first vintage in 1988. At that time we were one of a very few estate wineries dedicated to producing premium quality wines made from 100% Ontario grown grapes. Today, Henry of Pelham is a 200K+ case producer in Ontario’s Niagara Peninsula. We work with numerous grape varieties to produce a diverse portfolio of wines and have a wide range of winery equipment that we use daily in our various cellar activities.

 

We are looking for an experienced individual to join our cellar team as a senior cellar hand.  Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of cellar experience at a medium to large sized winery.   

Examples of Specific Duties/Responsibilities:

• Filter Operation: Crossflow, Lenticular, Pad Filter, DE

• Transferring, racking, blending wine/juice

• Carrying out various additions/inoculations

• Barrel operations: filling, racking, topping

• Pump-overs, punch downs, red drain and presses

• Cleaning and sterilizing winery equipment and tanks

• Maintain a safe, clean and organized cellar

Eligibility Requirements:

• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude

• Able to lift 25kg and able to work at heights

• Willing to work shift hours and extended hours during harvest

Compensation:

$23.00-$25.00/hour depending on experience
