Area Sales Representative based in Toronto (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

HEKTARS is a premium Wine agency with a portfolio of European, New Wolrd, and innovative brands. To strengthen its sales team, HEKTARS is recruiting an Area Sales Representative based in Toronto.

Your mission will be to develop our sales & brand image through LCBO retail stores.


•  Represent our Wine and Spirits portfolio: Brands & Single Estates from all over France, as well Europe and New World.
•  Work the market 80% OFF premise
•  Promote and demonstrate fine wines and spirits knowledge within a set geographic region to increase sales.
•  Follow up the implementation of Programs (Sales Goals, pricing, Incentives, PR, Budget).
•  Promote the portfolio through events: In-store tastings, wine dinners, staff training etc.
•  Participate in the achievement of sales objectives in the market.
•  Track and report depletions and placements monthly by using business analytics.
•  Report daily to Sales Director.
•  Organize and plan your workload and travels.

Qualifications & Experience

Require a BA degree and/or a relevant selling experience within the wines and spirits business on the Canadian market.
•  Good wine knowledge
•  Has a knowledge of the French culture.

Good knowledge of the LCBO and relationship with key contacts

•  Proven expertise in interpersonal and relationship building skills is required
•  Strong negotiation skills
•  Must be self-motivated and able to work with a general level of autonomy and independence
•  Goal oriented, focused, and assertive individual who needs little direction or supervision
•  Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of registration and insurance, and a clean driving record.
•  Comfortable with IT tools and Office Pack, the candidate masters particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
•  French is not required but a definite advantage.
•  Must have flexible work schedules.
•  May require frequent lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 45 lbs.
