We have introduced and established markets for some of the world’s greatest wine estates with a focus on wines from California, Italy, and France. We continue to seek out special wineries and producers of other alcoholic beverages from around the world as we strive to grow our business.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Brand Associate / Brand Manager, with strong business acumen, data analysis and interpersonal skills. Candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (at an Agency / Liquor Monopoly / Winery). Experience in dual channel activity is a strong asset (LCBO retail and Private Import / Consignment). 

This individual will be driven by the goal of continuous improvement and part of a close-knit and highly collaborative team. The successful applicant will interact with winery partners, execute brand plans, and be responsible for driving agency revenue. 

 

Key Tasks:

Manage a portfolio of incumbent wineries:

  • Lead agency contact with winery and LCBO
  • Design and execute market strategy inclusive of sales channel, price positioning, allocation and volume forecast, A&P budget, and benchmarking
  • Conduct regular business reviews, providing market insights, creating action plans, and delivering business objectives

Portfolio / Business Development:

  • Identify market opportunities
  • Pursue new suppliers

You will already have experience with the following tasks:

  • Lifecycle of LCBO calls and pitches (NISS)
  • Representing wineries at trade shows and industry events

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Tier-1 CPG or Alcoholic Beverage brand or trade marketing
  • Experience with brand management, product management, new product development, go-to-market, and commercial strategy development and execution
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • WSET Level 3 minimum level of formal wine education
  • Strong drive for results and outcomes, with high attention to detail 
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen including P&L management. Experience with LCBO Sale of Data is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills working with a broad range of cross-functional teams and external partners to provide support, resolve issues, create solutions, and deliver results
  • Strong organizational skills including project management and task prioritization
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner

 

Other Details:

  • Full time office based position in mid-town Toronto
  • Flex work from home 4 days per month
  • Candidates need to have ‘working status’ in Canada

Competitive Compensation:
Brand Associate budgeted range: $60,000-$70,000
Brand Manager budgeted range: $70,000-$90,000
