The Small Winemakers Collection Inc (SWC), a division of Andrew Peller Limited (APL), is one of Ontario's leading wine importing agencies. Since 1991, the agency has sourced wines from around the world by utilizing the LCBO's unique Consignment Warehouse Programs.
We are seeking a Director, Licensee Sales to lead a team of Sales Representatives who promote wines to licensee customers and private clients throughout Ontario. The goal is to manage existing business and build out new business in a manner which respects the overall mission of The Small Winemakers Collection. This role requires you to work onsite in Toronto, ON.

In this role you will be responsible for
- Maintaining and developing a strategic plan for sales through the LCBO’s Consignment Warehouse Program, in conjunction with the Managing Director, with a vision to growing the business relative to Program parameters and SWC Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
- Recruit, train, motivate and manage a team of Sales Representatives who sell to licensees.
- Assist in the development of sales to private clients.
- Ownership of promotional (A&P) budget
- Assist in the management of suppliers, wine region coordinators, LCBO, logistics providers, event coordinators among other critical relationships relating to promoting wines in Ontario.
- Maintaining and building out data in conjunction with the Managing Director, with respect to the regions, wineries and brands the company represents and to identify next steps in terms of the company's evolution.
- Manage accounts receivable in conjunction with sales representatives.
We are looking for a teammate with:
- This is foremost a management role, requiring a high level of coaching, strategic planning, analytical skills, interpersonal and administrative abilities.
- Ability to lead, inspire and direct a team through strong written and verbal communication.
- Product is sourced through the LCBO's Consignment Warehouse Programs, so in-depth knowledge of this channel is required.
- This is a data dependent role, requiring experience with, and strong technical knowledge of Excel and other analytical tools.
- University or College degree.
- W.S.E.T or sommelier training is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years working in or with the licensee community.
- Software: Excel, Word, Photoshop, Powerpoint, Filemaker Pro and Wordpress are assets.
- Ability to travel, have a valid driver's license and vehicle, and lift/carry heavier objects such as cases of wine is required.
