We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Farmers Market Sales Associate to help us share the story of our wines with customers at local farmers markets. Join our team and help bring the taste of Niagara to wine lovers near and far!
Position Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Farmers Market Sales Associate to represent our winery and engage with customers at farmers markets. In this role, you will introduce our range of Niagara wines, provide tastings, and share the story behind each bottle. You will be responsible for promoting our wine, handling sales transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized booth. A passion for wine and a strong ability to educate and connect with customers are key to success in this role.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and engage customers in a friendly, professional manner.
- Professional, focused, and punctual
- Ready & able to work weekends, weekdays, holidays & some evenings
- Must be comfortable with the physical demands of setting up and breaking down the market booth, including handling wine boxes and equipment.
- A G-licensed driver with access to a reliable car to transport wine, equipment, and supplies to and from the storage facility and market each day.
- Smart Serve certified and age 19+
- Excited to work at multiple market sites throughout Toronto
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers at the farmer's market by providing product information and recommendations.
- Operate the POS system efficiently for sales transactions and cash handling.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales area through effective merchandising.
- Setting up and breaking down market booth in a timely manner
- Manage inventory levels and assist with restocking as needed.

It is considered an asset:
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or hospitality, preferably in the wine or beverage industry.
- Knowledge of Niagara VQA wines and wineries
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
