We are looking for the right candidate to lead our sales team in Ontario. The successful applicant will be a Toronto based, results-driven individual with passion and knowledge of the beverage industry.  This position requires you to be organized, motivated, and agile. Key candidates would possess the ability to coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team to achieve both individual and team goals. They would have competitive team spirit, a genuine thirst for winning and a desire to work cross-functionally with all departments. They should have level 2 or higher from an accredited wine course, strong understanding and proven usage of sales fundamentals, the ability to self-manage and the competencies to lead and inspire a Sales Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspire and coach a team of Territory Sales Managers to develop perfect, in market execution.

• Collaborate with all departments to optimize execution and overall performance.

• Set performance standards, conducting regular evaluations, and implementing strategies to enhance sales performance

• Proficient in developing and executing sales strategies that align with overall business objectives.

• Analyze statistics with strong business acumen and utilize findings to maximize sales approach.

• Devise, implement and communicate sales targets.

• Review sales results and promote a culture of achievement and accountability.

• Remain fiscally responsible, working within the bounds of available promotional budget.

• Clearly communicate responsibilities, expectations, and deliverables.

• Drive engagement and utilization of selling tools and technology to maximize team performance.

• Cultivate a culture of growth, accountability, and teamwork – leading by example

• Expert in building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders

• Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 2-5 years industry experience leading a sales team, demonstrating effective leadership and team management skills.

• Proven ability to inspire growth through a dynamic sales team.

• Strategic thinker with an ability to create and execute sales plans.

• Ability to gather, analyze and interpret data.

• Highly motivated, self-starter with a high level of accountability.

• Ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Elevated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• Completion of WSET Level 2 or equivalent.

• Valid drivers license with clean driving record and a dependable/insured vehicle.

• Ability to lift/carry 40lbs regularly.

• Evening/weekend availability when required.

 

Compensation and benefits commensurate with experience. Business related expenses are also covered.
