Woodman Wines & Spirits represents some of the most iconic brands in the world including Champagne Henriot, Bouchard Père & Fils, Nikka Japanese Whisky, Trimbach, Alvaro Palacios, Skrewball Peanut Butter Whisky and other sought after brands. As a Wine Sales Account Manager, you will cultivate and grow account relationships located in the Greater Toronto Area, maximizing sales through effective planning, sales and communication resulting in the achievement of company and supplier objectives.
Job Summary: Reporting to our Sales Manager, this position’s mandate is to increase sales of the Woodman Wines & Spirits brands with key on-trade accounts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
On-Trade
§ Drive sales of the portfolio in assigned and new on-premise accounts;
§ Plan and execute a daily schedule of calls for territory
§ Maximize sales and product placements within the on-trade accounts for General List, Vintages and Consignment brands
§ Maintain and solicit new business by building credible and long-term relationships accounts to increase revenue and volume
§ Secure placement of premium wine and spirits portfolio in key accounts
§ Organize and manage field days for suppliers when required
§ Educate staff by facilitating product tastings and training seminars
§ Report on competitive activities and offer constructive suggestions
Management/Administrative & Other Responsibilities:
§ Submit bi-weekly planning and mapping of achievements
§ Participation in supplier and trade events as required
Qualifications:
§ Experience or degree in Sales, Business or equivalent discipline
§ Minimum of 2 years’ experience in wine and/or spirit sales with proven track record
§ Experience managing on-trade partnerships
§ Sales strength with excellent written and verbal communication skills
§ Successful completion of wine and spirit courses (e.g.: WSET)
§ Must have reliable and appropriate transportation and valid Driver’s License
§ Proficient PC, iPad and MS Office skills
Base salary plus incentive bonus and car allowance commensurate with experience. Business related expenses are also covered.
