Woodman Wines & Spirits is seeking a self-motivated and organized Wine Sales & Key Account Representative to actively identify, secure and grow licensee sales and industry relationships in downtown Toronto and the GTA. The successful candidate will maximize sales through effective planning, communications and account management.
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this positions’ mandate is to drive sales of the Woodman Wines & Spirits wine portfolio with key on-trade accounts.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Maximize sales and product placements within the on-trade accounts for General List, Vintages and Consignment brands;
· Plan and execute a daily schedule of calls for downtown Toronto and the GTA;
· Maintain and solicit new business by building credible and long-term relationships to increase revenue and volume;
· Educate staff by facilitating product tastings and training seminars;
· Organize and manage field days for visiting suppliers when required;
· Liaise on supplier needs including meetings, itineraries and events when required;
· Report on competitive activities and offer constructive suggestions
Management and Administrative Responsibilities
· Submit monthly planning and mapping of achievements
· Participation in supplier and trade events, including occasional evenings and weekends as required
Desired Skills and Experience
· Solid wine knowledge and appreciation is essential; completion of WSET
· 2 - 5 years sales experience within alcohol beverage industry;
· Sales strength with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
· Must have reliable and appropriate transportation and driver’s license;
· Experience in other functional areas an asset;
· Proficient in PC, iPad and MS Office Skills
· Fluency in other languages such as Italian, French and Spanish will be given additional consideration
