Value On Liquor Store in Marpole is looking for friendly, reliable, outgoing individuals who will make a great addition to our team. Requirements:

•    Be at least 19 years of age
•    Be legally able to work in Canada
•    Valid Responsible Service BC certificate
•    Excellent customer service skills
•    High English language proficiency
•    Able to handle cash and do arithmetic accurately
•    Able to lift 20-25kg boxes repeatedly, and stand for extended periods of time
•    Flexible schedule (8am-11pm), and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays


Preferred:

•    Previous liquor industry experience (of 1-2 years)
•    Formal product-knowledge education, such as WSET, Cicerone, etc.
•    Mature, positive and responsible attitude with a strong work ethic and sound judgement
•    Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and remain focused under pressure
•    Ability to consistently complete repetitive tasks quickly and efficiently


Job description:

•    Attend to customers in a friendly and professional manner
•    Assist customers with product selection, by maintaining a high level of product knowledge
•    Complete sales transactions quickly and accurately
•    Stock shelves and rotate product as needed
•    Participate in merchandising and promotional activities
•    Process incoming deliveries quickly and efficiently
•    Assist with maintaining an orderly, clean, and functional work environment
