Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced individual to join our team as a Retail Development Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and building of Stem Wine Group’s retail portfolio, will possess outstanding organizational and personal communication skills and will be proficient in Microsoft, NISS, ISupplier and Sale of Data.
Key Responsibilites
· Review current and source new suppliers to find opportunities to submit tenders for all LCBO retail channels such as Vintages, General List, Cellar Collection, Destination Collection and Special offers or Events.
· Manage and maintain current general listings at the LCBO including supplier budget reviews, forecasting and inventory management with the appropriate Category Manager and applying for any appropriate LCBO in store promotional programs
· Prepare presentation for meetings between Supplier and LCBO buyer
· Review and analyze sales data
· Prepare effective & captivating marketing plans for LCBO Retail submissions
· Create & schedule social media posts and ad campaigns to support retail listings
· Bill supplier commissions and A&P
· Produce and publish mass communications with email blasts and marketing campaigns
· Support Sales representatives and the company on all campaigns and overall sales initiatives
· Create sell sheets for all wines being sold through LCBO Retail sales channels
· Assist with updating company website with images, tasting notes, and vintages
· Travel to visit clients, LCBO stores, and head office in an effort to build relationships with the product consultants, store managers, and buyers
· Other duties as required as directed by management to meet business objectives
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate must have:
· Minimum 3 years’ experience (i.e. retail wine sales role, business development role, wine agency environment)
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
· Knowledge and experience with LCBO terms and conditions
· A valid driver’s license
· A valid Smart Serve Certificate
· Physical capability to lift up to 40lbs
· Flexibility to work evenings (approximately 4-5 times a year)
