British Columbia has several wine-producing regions - the Okanagan Valley, Similkameen Valley, Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Ontario has four appellations: Lake Erie North Shore, Niagara Peninsula, Pelee Island and Prince Edward County. There are several excellent wine regions in Nova Scotia, such as the Annapolis Valley, the Malagash Peninsula, Bear River Valley, LaHave River Valley and Marble Mountain. There are seven wine-growing regions in Quebec - Montérégie, Eastern Townships, Centre of Québec, Québec, Basses Laurentides, Lanaudière and Bas-Saint-Laurent. In Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, PEI and Newfoundland, there are a small number of winemakers.
